People Agenda consultants have been active in recruitment consultancy for many years. Our consultants are all professionals with a wide variety of experiences in industry and commerce.

Executive Search, Selection and Assessment
People Agenda concentrates on the core activities of search, selection and assessment.  We can source interim managers to support specific projects or to provide temporary professional cover.  Established in 1981, our extensive client base includes many of The Times top 100 companies.

An excellent reputation has been achieved through providing an effective, friendly service to both clients and candidates.  People Agenda have a database of some 8000 professionals from Generalists to Specialists, Administrators through to Directors, Officers to Managers.  We have put together this site in the hope that it will give you the flavour of our approach. Modus Operandi
We prefer to meet clients to discuss the role and it’s organisational context, working with you to establish the key roles, major challenges and opportunities. We advise and guide on your requirements from our broad knowledge of how other organisations achieve results. We help you identify the skills as well as the knowledge, work style, competencies and personal qualities necessary for an individual to succeed in your organisation.

We handle the response from advertisements and also examine our extensive database, to identify candidates who match the agreed criteria.

Selection
Following paper screening of candidates, we will speak with those selected for the role and explore their work experience. From this we will develop an initial shortlist which we will discuss with you.

We then carry out in depth interviews, assessing skills, competencies, knowledge and personality characteristics. Comprehensive interview reports are prepared and presented by the consultant – we lay heavy emphasis on achievements, enabling you to understand the role that candidates may have played in a particular project or task and where possible, a measured view of that achievement.

Candidates can have access to the report once we have completed the assignment – this applies to the results of any skill and aptitude tests we may ask you to complete.

Skill & Aptitude Testing
Including personality assessments - Structured and effective tools for recruitment development
The personality profiling and psychological testing of short-list candidates is an additional service which can be made available to clients should this be required,
to confirm the candidate’s suitability for a specific role.

We supply a wide range of tests, which have been thoroughly researched and published by leading psychologists.

Psychometric tests can be used effectively to support your decisions on Selecting and Building Effective Teams, Recruitment, Training Needs Analysis, Career Planning and Performance Management.

Database Search
Our database is well managed and we carefully select all candidates for entry; we note all calls we make, identify candidates needs and update details regularly.

To supplement database searches we sometimes enter a description of the vacancy in our regular column in the professional magazines or on our web sites.

Job and Person Specification
We produce assignment briefs which present an accurate review of both the job and the organisation. Our job and person specifications conform to the highest standard in our profession.

Out Of Normal Working Hours
Our Consultants are available to you throughout the week, in the evenings and at the weekends.
Traditionally consultants are rarely available – we ensure that we maintain personal contact. We will be in touch regularly with you.

The Locum Management Service
This can provide you with experienced staff to fill unplanned vacancies at senior levels on a temporary basis until you have made your selection from the short-list of candidates supplied by the search division. The locum management service can, of course, also be used to help complete projects that normal staffing levels would not allow you to undertake, as well as covering lower-level vacancies.
